British Library Zines and Fanzines
Scope of collection: The Library holds c.500 music zines and over 250 football fanzines. In addition to these, there are zines around a wide range of other subjects including women, LGBT+, veganism, mental health, and anti-racism and environmental concerns, and zines produced by artists. They range from the earliest zines produced to the present, and although most are from the UK, there are also many from the US and other countries. The Library tries to collect zines produced in the UK as comprehensively as possible, to form part of the national published archive, and is keen to receive a single copy of any UK-based zine not currently held, regardless of subject matter or style.

Forgotten Zine Archive
Scope of collection: Originally created in 2004 by four friends and run out of a Dublin squat, its use, maintenance, and location has waxed, waned, and changed over the years. It now lives in the library/meeting room of an art organisation in the city centre and remains committed to supporting and preserving the zine scene of Ireland as best as it can.
The bulk of the collection is from the 1990s & 2000s, with more contemporary items being added all the time. Titles from the 80s/70s are also represented in limited numbers. International and Irish zines are both collected, but a special effort is made to collect as much Irish material as possible.
Subject areas include poetry, prose, comix, photography, music fanzines, zines on a wide variety of political and social topics, instructional zines and travel diaries, and special interest zines about very specific topics.

London College of Communication Zine Collection
Scope of collection: The LCC Library Zine Collection (University of the Arts London) contains around 4000 zines dating from the 1970s onwards. The collection is an offshoot of the private press collection within the printing historical collection at LCC, representing the DIY end of printing. The collection contains fanzines and zines that are varied in topic, style and format. They cover music, LGBT+, feminism, gender, race and ethnicity, mental health, film, comics, politics, youth/alternative subcultures, art, photography, illustration, and more. The collection has grown through active collecting and small to large-scale donations. Donors include: The Edinburgh Fanzine Archive Collection (Music zines), Jennifer Denitto of LINUS (Riot Grrrl zines), Paul Problem Child (Problem Child zine), Tom Vague (Vague zine) and Sina Shamsavari (LGBT and comics zines). It is a teaching and learning collection, used in teaching by librarians and academic staff across the university, and for research by UAL students and staff, external researchers and members of the public.
